Experience
I started my real estate career in St. Pete Beach, Florida in 1984. I sold Beach front property and a couple of small commercial properties.
After obtaining my Real Estate Sales License, I completed the courses for my Brokers license and also passed the Florida state exam for it. Shortly after my husband was offered a position in California so I then obtained my Sales License for the State of California.
In 1987 I completed California's requirements and obtained my sales person license, and began selling homes in Fremont, CA. Fremont is a beautiful town located between San Jose and San Francisco in the rolling hills of the wine country. I was luckly enough to get into real estate there while the market was still "hot". The market did not go "sour" until around--1991 or so. Until then it boomed unbelievably!
But San Antonio was my 'Home' so back I moved with my two year old little girl. I had been away from home for almost eleven years gaining valuable real estate experience on different coasts of these United States!
A Little More About me
I was born here in San Antonio and I grew up in Castle Hills. I went to St. Gregory Catholic School through 8th grade and then on to Ursuline Academy. I then went on to San Antonio College and have hours approximating an associates degree, all in basics and business related courses. I have accumulated well over 400 hours in real estate courses now; from Floridia, California and now Texas.
Over the years I received specialized training in the professional field I was in before I entered real estate.
I was an Administrative Assistant to Vice President of Operations for Shipley Co. in Newton, MA. Then Administrative Assistant to V.P. of Research & Development for the same Company after that.
Later I decided to put my Photography skills to the test and I freelanced for a while. I did well, won a few ribbons, sold some work, published some work, but wasn't making enough money so it was back to work.
As you can tell I have moved a little--actually a lot! God has blessed me with much. I was able to travel all over the world and experience many different cultures--and marketplaces! I've traveled to Shanghai, China; Hong Kong- before it changed back to China; and Japan (I got to ride the famous 'Bullet Train'); and all over Europe--France, England, Germany, Switzerland. I've traveled the Carribean, Jamaica, and Mexico, and lived in several different climates/markets of the United States!
I have experienced much and gained knowledge I could not have obtained except by first hand experiance; and I am grateful for that. Thank you God!
My most prized and valued accomplishment, and gift, was having my beautiful daughter and being gifted with children 'in step'. God has blessed me with the gift of motherhood! What can I say? The best gift! I love each of them very much and they have taught me more than I have learned in a lifetime of work. They have taught me above all unselfishness and how to live a 'selfless' life:-)! Being a mom is without a doubt the most rewarding, fulfilling, best learning experience I have ever been given, a true gift. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
